About me

Since my early childhood, I have been interested in sports and physical activities, especially in the water. I come from a sports-loving family, and my parents have supported my passion and talent for swimming from the very beginning. I was born and raised in 1978 in Ulm and have been associated with competitive swimming at SSV Ulm 1846. After completing my high school education, I pursued a sports degree at the German Sport University in Cologne in the year 2000, focusing on Training and Performance. I successfully graduated as a Diplom Sport Scientist. Subsequently, I underwent numerous further training and obtained coaching certifications in various sports disciplines, including cycling, triathlon, and swimming. It was clear to me that I wanted to return to the world of sports. After two years as a lecturer at the German Sport University in Cologne, I started working as a performance diagnostics expert at a Swiss Olympic Medical Center in 2008, also becoming a self-employed trainer to support and train athletes. Keeping up-to-date with the latest scientific advancements and methodologies is of utmost importance to me. I constantly seek inspiration from coaches and scientists in other disciplines and remain open to the latest trends. My philosophy is: „Only a well-founded, trusting, and individual collaboration between coach and athlete can lead to long-term success!“ My knowledge about sports and nutrition is extensive, but of course, I don’t know everything. That’s why I have a large and competent network of specialists from various sports fields who help me specifically improve your performance and prevent injuries. I will be there for you in challenging situations, and together we will develop the optimal strategy for you and address your specific questions about sports, nutrition, and health. I am looking forward to embarking on this journey together with you.

Warm regards,

Matthias Ludwig
